I’m Lynne Jones, a freelance web designer. Colony of Ants is my small web design studio where I create WordPress websites for small businesses, councils, local communities and the voluntary sector.
Based in Rhyl, North Wales, I have extensive experience in creating bilingual websites and can also arrange a quality website translation service. I work mainly in the local area: Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham and the north-west of England but also across the UK communicating via phone and email.
I take pride in supporting inexperienced clients throughout the website design and development process and beyond so that you learn the skills to keep your website fresh and promote your business or organisation online. I enjoy developing a good working relationship with the client who is in for the long term and understands that a website needs to be nurtured to be successful.
I’ll help you to see how a good website can become an essential tool for your organisation saving you time and providing a perfect representation of what you do and what services you provide at much lower costs than any other advertising method.
The Genesis Framework
I use WordPress, which makes it easy for you to update your website (but provide an updating service if you would rather leave that side of things to me). I build WordPress sites using the Genesis Framework, which provides a robust and secure base for your website. I use WooCommerce for my eCommerce websites. I’m also happy to explore other options.
SEO and Social Media
For the first year, I’ll support you with SEO advice on attracting visitors via well-written website copy and through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. No being left to work it all out for yourself!
If you are building your own WordPress website, I provide a consultation service and can advise on the best way to go about it, fix any problems and provide support to help you get started.
In my other life, I have a very scruffy dog, a rescue cat and enjoy walking, reading excessively, photography and naps.
